Md. Liton Ahmed, Chairman of the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB), Chairman of the Made in Bangladesh Expo, and Founder & President of the U.S. Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (USBCCI), met with Her Excellency Abida Islam, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom, and Mr. Tanvir Mohammad Azim, Commercial Counsellor (Trade & Commerce) at the Bangladesh High Commission, London.
The high-level meeting focused on enhancing Bangladesh–UK–U.S. trade relations, supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), promoting women entrepreneurship, and exploring new opportunities for diaspora-led investments and global business cooperation.
During the discussion, Chairman Ahmed emphasized the importance of expanding collaborative platforms to strengthen Bangladesh’s global economic footprint, attract sustainable investment, and promote innovation-led growth through cross-border partnerships.
Mr. Ahmed was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Ruma Ahmed, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of USBD Group LLC, whose support and dedication continue to inspire their joint efforts in advancing Bangladesh’s economic and cultural representation on the world stage.
Speaking after the meeting, Chairman Ahmed remarked:
