Md. Liton Ahmed, Founder & Chairman of the Made in Bangladesh Expo™, Chairman of the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB), and Founder & President of the U.S. Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (USBCCI), along with Mr. Aftab Bin Tomiz, Chief Executive Officer of Ad Point, had the honor of meeting Mr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain, Consul General, and Ms. Syeda Nahida Habiba, Commercial Counsellor, at the Consulate General of Bangladesh in Jeddah.

The meeting centered around the upcoming Made in Bangladesh Expo™ 2025 – Saudi Arabia Edition, scheduled to take place from December 11–13, 2025, at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah.

This highly anticipated event will serve as a strategic platform to expand trade, investment, and cultural cooperation between Bangladesh and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, marking a milestone in bilateral relations as both nations celebrate 50 years of diplomatic partnership.

Key Objectives of the Expo:

  • Promote Bangladesh’s Export Sectors: Highlighting the nation’s strengths in Ready-Made Garments (RMG), Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Halal Food, Leather Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Ceramics, Jute Products, and other promising industries.
  • Connect Global Markets: Facilitating direct engagement between Bangladeshi exporters, Saudi and GCC investors, buyers, and trade representatives, opening new channels for collaboration and sustainable trade growth.
  • Empower Entrepreneurs: Supporting SMEs and women-led enterprises to showcase their innovations and expand into international markets.
  • Celebrate 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations: Honoring five decades of Bangladesh–Saudi friendship, cooperation, and shared progress.

During the meeting, Mr. Ahmed emphasized that the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ – Saudi Arabia Edition represents a historic opportunity to elevate Bangladesh’s image as a trusted global trade partner and strengthen its economic ties within the GCC region.

“The Made in Bangladesh Expo™ is not merely an exhibition—it is a movement to position Bangladesh as a global hub for quality, innovation, and reliability,” said Md. Liton Ahmed. “This Saudi Arabia Edition will open doors for greater business connectivity, joint ventures, and cross-border investments that benefit both nations.”

Mr. Aftab Bin Tomiz, CEO of Ad Point, shared that the event will feature interactive exhibitions, B2B matchmaking sessions, trade dialogues, and investment forums, creating an impactful networking environment for exporters, investors, and policymakers alike.

Mr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain, Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah, commended the initiative, expressing the Consulate’s full support in facilitating meaningful participation from both Bangladeshi and Saudi stakeholders.

Ms. Syeda Nahida Habiba, Commercial Counsellor, highlighted the importance of showcasing Bangladesh’s diverse and growing industrial capacity to attract more trade and investment opportunities from the GCC region.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision to work collaboratively toward making the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ 2025 – Saudi Arabia Edition a landmark event that enhances Bangladesh’s global visibility and deepens its engagement in Middle Eastern markets.
