Jeddah | December 2025
The Made in Bangladesh Expo™: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 has successfully wrapped up in Jeddah, highlighting Bangladesh’s expanding export capabilities and reinforcing its trade and investment engagement with Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. The event emerged as a focused business-driven platform aimed at connecting Bangladeshi exporters with regional buyers, investors, and strategic partners.
Hosted at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Jeddah, from December 11 to 13, 2025, the three-day exhibition brought together stakeholders from both countries under one roof to explore sourcing opportunities, investment prospects, and long-term commercial collaboration.
Driving Export Promotion and Market Access
The Expo was organized with the objective of promoting Bangladeshi products and services in the Saudi market while supporting national branding under the “Made in Bangladesh™” initiative. It provided Bangladeshi companies with direct access to Saudi importers, distributors, sourcing agents, and investors—allowing face-to-face engagement, negotiation, and relationship building.
A total of 40 Bangladeshi companies participated, spanning key sectors including ready-made garments, agro and halal food products, ICT and digital services, plastics, jute and jute-based products, as well as real estate and hospitality development. The event recorded attendance of over 1,000 visitors, with strong participation from Saudi and GCC business communities alongside Bangladeshi diaspora entrepreneurs.

Commercial Outcomes and Business Engagement
The Expo delivered concrete business results, reflecting increasing confidence in Bangladeshi exporters and manufacturers:
- USD 475,000 in confirmed export orders
- USD 546,000 in confirmed investment commitments, primarily in real estate and hospitality
- USD 1.25 million worth of prospective deals currently under follow-up
- 55 structured B2B meetings facilitated during the event
- More than 200 new business connections established
Confirmed transactions were observed in sectors such as plastics, garments, jute products, and FMCG, while investment-focused discussions dominated the real estate segment.
Market Response and Buyer Preferences
Buyer interactions during the Expo revealed several important market trends. RMG and textile products received strong interest, while halal-certified agro and food items attracted significant attention from Saudi buyers. The ICT and digital services sector showed promising future potential, particularly in outsourcing and software-related services.
Saudi and GCC buyers expressed a clear preference for long-term partnerships over spot orders, emphasizing consistent quality, competitive pricing, regulatory compliance, and direct engagement with Bangladeshi manufacturers.
MoU Highlights Growing Confidence
A key highlight of the Expo was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KIDLON Baby Care Products of Bangladesh and LAAM Technology Global Co. of Saudi Arabia. Valued at USD 440,000, the agreement will enable Bangladeshi-made baby care products to enter the Saudi market, marking a significant step in expanding Bangladesh’s non-traditional exports.

A Platform with Long-Term Impact
Overall, the Made in Bangladesh Expo™: Saudi Arabia Edition 2025 was widely regarded as a commercially relevant and strategically impactful initiative. The event not only generated immediate trade and investment outcomes but also strengthened Bangladesh’s visibility as a reliable sourcing destination in the Middle East.
By facilitating direct buyer engagement, encouraging export diversification, and promoting sustained business relationships, the Expo has created a strong foundation for future trade collaboration between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
