A constructive meeting took place between Md. Liton Ahmed, Founder of Made in Bangladesh Expo Ltd. and Chairman of the Global Trade Promotion Council of Bangladesh (GTPCB), and Mr. Md Faruk Hossain, Consul General of Bangladesh in Toronto, focusing on strengthening bilateral trade, investment, and diaspora engagement between Bangladesh and Canada.

Mr. Ahmed presented an overview of the upcoming Made in Bangladesh Expo™ – Canada Edition 2026, to be held from September 18–20, 2026, at the Mississauga Convention Centre, Ontario. The Expo is envisioned as a premier platform to showcase Bangladesh’s export capabilities, attract investors, and enhance B2B cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the discussion covered:
🔹 Listing the Expo in the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB)’s Official Fair Calendar 2026
🔹 Partnership opportunities with the Consulate General of Bangladesh, Toronto, as an Official Partner or Patron Organization
🔹 Engaging the Bangladeshi diaspora and Canadian entrepreneurs in trade and innovation initiatives

Mr. Faruk Hossain praised the concept of the Expo and expressed the Consulate’s commitment to supporting initiatives that elevate Bangladesh’s global trade image and promote closer economic ties with Canada.

Md. Liton Ahmed reaffirmed that the Made in Bangladesh Expo™ will play a vital role in promoting Brand Bangladesh, connecting exporters, investors, and policymakers, and unlocking new trade prospects across North America.
